The Style7X replaces a drawer full of tools with one base and a set of click-on attachments. The base is a high-speed hair dryer. Add a curling barrel and it draws your hair round for curls. Add a brush and you can smooth or build volume while you dry.

A 110,000 RPM brushless motor gives strong airflow, and three temperature settings let you match the heat to fine, normal or thick hair. Because you dry and style at the same time, getting ready takes fewer steps.

How to use

Using the curling barrels:

Click the curling barrel you need onto the base and switch on.

Hold the barrel at a 90-degree angle to your hair.

For the barrel that turns left, lay the end of the section towards the right. For the barrel that turns right, lay it towards the left. The airflow draws the hair round the barrel.

Hold for 10 to 30 seconds, depending on how defined you want the curl.

Release the hair from the barrel and move on to the next section.

For the brushes, diffuser and concentrator, click on the attachment, choose a heat setting and work section by section from roots to ends.

How to curl with air

The curling barrels use airflow to wrap your hair for you. It takes a couple of tries to get the feel, then it's quick.

Switch onClick on the barrel for the side you're styling and switch on.

Hold at 90 degreesHold the barrel at a right angle to the section of hair.

Let the air wrap itPlace the end of the hair on the barrel, opposite to the barrel's direction. The air draws it round.

Hold 10 to 30 secondsHold for longer if you want a more defined curl.

ReleaseSlide the barrel out and let the curl drop. Repeat section by section.

Good to know: Use the left barrel on one side and the right barrel on the other so your curls mirror each other around your face.

Who is the Style7X designed for?

It's made for every hair type: straight, wavy, curly and coily. The attachments and three heat settings mean you can adapt it whether your hair is fine or thick. It's also easy enough for beginners, and quick enough for people who style every day.

What can I do with it?

You can dry, straighten, curl, add volume, diffuse curls and concentrate the airflow for precise drying. Each attachment clicks onto the same base, so you can switch looks without switching tools.

Why are there two curling barrels?

One barrel turns hair to the left and the other to the right. Using one on each side of your head means your curls mirror each other around your face, which looks more balanced than curls that all turn the same way.

How long do I hold the curling barrel?

Hold each section for 10 to 30 seconds. A shorter hold gives a softer bend, and a longer hold gives a more defined curl. It's worth testing on a couple of sections first to find what suits your hair.

Is the brushless motor really that powerful?

The motor spins at up to 110,000 RPM and the dryer is 1400 W, so it moves a lot of air. Strong, steady airflow is what dries hair quickly, which means you can use lower heat for more of your routine.

Does the temperature control protect my hair?

Three heat settings, 30°C, 75°C and 130°C, let you use only as much heat as your hair needs. No heated tool can promise zero damage, so use a heat protectant and start lower. Stable, controlled heat is kinder than a tool that keeps getting hotter.

Do the attachments stay in place?

Yes. Each attachment locks securely onto the base so it stays stable while you style. Always switch off and let the attachment cool before you change to another one.

Is it heavy?

It weighs 400 g with the hair dryer attached. The 2 m cord swivels 360°, so it doesn't twist as you move the styler around your head.

Does it come with the diamond decoration shown in some photos?

No. The styler is supplied without diamond decoration. Everything else in the set is as listed: the base, two curling barrels, a straightening brush, a round volumising brush, a concentrator, a diffuser and an instruction manual.

How do I clean it?

Unplug it and let everything cool. Remove hair from the brushes and barrels, wipe the attachments with a dry or slightly damp cloth, and keep the air intake clear of dust. Never put any part under running water.
