   Wash and dry your hands. Make sure your nails are clean, dry and free from old polish, oil and lotion.

   Gently push back your cuticles, then lightly buff the surface of each natural nail with the sanding file to take off the shine. Brush away all the dust.

   Paint a thin layer of base coat on each nail, keeping it off your skin and cuticles. Set it under the lamp.

   Choose a tip that matches the width of each nail and lay them out in order so you're ready to go.

   Squeeze a small amount of polygel from the tube and use the spatula to cut it off cleanly and place it on the tip.

   Dip the brush lightly in the slip solution and use it to spread and smooth the polygel into an even layer. A little slip solution goes a long way.

   Press the tip onto your nail, starting at the cuticle end, and hold it steady. The tweezers help you position it neatly. Wipe away any polygel that squeezes out at the sides before curing.

   Set it under the lamp. Slide your hand in and the lamp starts on its own. Use the curing time given in the supplied instructions.

   Gently ease the tip away from the cured polygel, then use the sanding file to refine the shape and length you want. Brush away the dust.

    Apply a thin layer of top coat over each nail and set it under the lamp for a glossy finish.

    Wash your hands and moisturise the skin around your nails.

Polygel nails can last up to three weeks or longer with good application and care, depending on how fast your nails grow and what you put your hands through.

• To remove, file away the shiny top coat first, then soak your nails in acetone (not included) until the polygel softens. Ease it away gently and never force or peel it off.
• Wear gloves for washing up and cleaning so your nails last longer.
• Use your nails as nails, not tools, to avoid lifting at the edges.
• Moisturise your cuticles daily once your set is on.
• Keep the lamp clean: remove the detachable base and wipe it with a dry or slightly damp cloth.
• Put the caps back on the polygel tubes, base and top coat straight after use and store them away from sunlight.

• Keep base coat, polygel and top coat off your skin and cuticles. Uncured gel on the skin can lead to irritation or an allergic reaction.
• If you notice itching, redness, swelling or soreness around your nails, stop using the products and speak to a pharmacist or GP.
• If you've reacted to gel or acrylic nails before, check with a pharmacist before use.
• Don't apply over broken, sore or infected skin or nails.
• Don't look directly into the lamp while it's on.
• Work in a well-ventilated room and keep all products and the lamp out of reach of children.
• Unplug the lamp after use and keep it away from water.
