Overview
An acupressure mat is one of the simplest ways to relax. Its surface is covered in small, raised pressure points. When you lie on it, they press gently into your skin, creating a tingling, prickly feeling at first that usually fades after a few minutes into a deep feeling of relaxation.
This set includes a 68 × 42 cm mat for your back and a 37 × 10 cm pillow for your neck or lower back. You can also stand on the mat to give your feet a refreshing wake-up. There are no batteries or cables: just lie down, breathe and switch off.
It folds up and fits in its carry bag, so you can take it to the gym, the office or on holiday.

How to use
- 1Lay the mat on a firm, flat surface such as the floor or a yoga mat. A bed or sofa works too, but feels softer.
- 2If you're new to acupressure or have sensitive skin, wear a thin T-shirt for your first few sessions.
- 3Sit on the mat, then lower yourself back slowly so your weight spreads evenly across the points.
- 4Place the pillow under your neck, or under your lower back if you prefer.
- 5Breathe slowly. The tingling usually settles after a few minutes.
- 6Stay for 10–30 minutes, then roll onto your side and get up slowly.

Safety & use
This mat is designed for relaxation and comfort. It isn't a medical device and doesn't treat any condition. Please read these points before use.
- Pacemakers and implants: the mat has no electrics, but if you have an implant or have had recent surgery, check with your doctor before lying on pressure points over that area.
- Pregnancy: don't use it while pregnant unless your midwife or GP says it's fine.
- Epilepsy: if you have epilepsy or a history of seizures, check with your GP first and don't use it alone.
- DVT and blood clots: if you have, or have had, deep vein thrombosis or another blood clot, or take blood-thinning medication, check with your GP before use.
- Broken skin: don't use it on broken, bruised, sunburnt or irritated skin, rashes, wounds or recent scars. Wear a thin T-shirt if your skin is sensitive.
- Numb skin: the mat doesn't heat, but don't use it where you have reduced feeling, such as numb feet from diabetes, as you may not notice if the points mark your skin.
- Session length: 10–30 minutes. Start with shorter sessions and build up.
- Children: not for children. Keep it away from babies, toddlers and pets.
- Get up slowly after each session, especially if you feel light-headed. Stop if you feel pain or dizziness.
- Avoid lying on it with your face, and keep the points away from your eyes.

Lie back and let tension melt away
After a long day, it can be hard to switch off. Lying on an acupressure mat gives you a reason to stop, breathe and do nothing for a while.
The small pressure points press gently into your back and shoulders. The first minutes feel tingly and a little prickly, then the tingling usually fades into a deep, relaxed feeling.
- Full-body feelPressure points across your back and shoulders.
- Gentle tinglingA sensation that settles into relaxation.
- Zero effortJust lie down and breathe.
Back, neck and feet in one set
Use the mat and pillow together, or move them to the area that feels most tired.
Back
Lie on the mat so the points press along your upper and lower back.
Neck
Rest your neck on the pillow while you lie on the mat.
Lower back
Place the pillow under your lower back for a more focused feel.
Feet
Stand or sit with your feet on the mat for a refreshing wake-up.

A matching pillow for your neck
The included 37 × 10 cm pillow fits neatly under your neck, so the pressure points reach an area that's hard to relax on a flat surface.
Slide it lower and it works under your lower back instead. Together, the mat and pillow give your whole upper body a chance to unwind.

Wake up tired feet
Standing on the mat for a few minutes gives the soles of your feet a firm, tingling massage. It's a refreshing way to start the morning or to finish a long day on your feet.
Stand still, shift your weight slowly from one foot to the other, and take a few deep breaths. Sit down and rest your feet on it if standing feels too strong.
